Add free product to cart without existing product already in cart

Hi,

I want to add a free product to an empty cart using an url. The problem is that the free product is only seen in cart if I also have another product in cart.

The following url should add a free product but it just says that the coupon was applied and the cart stays empty: http://clearlygone.se/varukorg/?apply_coupon=c002 Then if you add a product to cart the free product will show up, but that’s not what I want. I need the coupon to add the free product even if no other product is in cart.

That is not possible.

You could change the coupon so it will apply 100% discount to that product and create a link that combines apply_coupon with fill_cart (in combination with https://wordpress.org/plugins/soft79-cart-links-for-woocommerce/ )
