Custom Fields Not Working

I have a simple coupon setup that uses a Custom Field field restriction.

I select it from the drop-down list (it’s a meta field) and enter the value.

The coupon is never valid as it doesn’t appear to ever validate against the value I provide.

The meta field in this case is on the PARENT product of a variation added to the cart. Could this be an issue?

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, the field needs to be on the exact product, not its parent.
