We are using an auto fixed product discount coupon to take $100 off when purchased in multiples of 10. We found that the coupon will only take off $80 unless one of the items is at least quantity of 3. If we have 2 each of 8 different items (total 16 items) it will still only take off $80 but if we have an order with 3, and any other combination totaling at least 10 items it will work properly. How do we get it to take off the correct amount with our customers being able to purchase the combination they want instead of being forced to purchase at least 3 of one item?

How did you configure the coupon?

It’s a fixed product discount, coupon amount 100, the product is listed with 10 minimum quantity of matching products, and the discount is limited to every nth item.

Can you please send me a cart screenshot showing the problem?

Thanks for sending us the screenshot. The problem is that the fixed product discount works per-product, so a discount for a single product will never be more than the product price.

What you could do is use this plugin: https://nl.wordpress.org/plugins/soft79-wc-pricing-rules/ and set this price rule for the products:

    From: 10, To: 10, Price: -25%

You can do this either on the product page for every product to which it should apply or by using ‘WooCommerce’ > ‘Pricing Rules’ and create a rule for one or more products or categories.
