Selecting free product leads to EMPTY CART

Hi support!

I was hoping that I will find the answer for my problem in resolved topics but I couldn’t.

I bought the PRO version to be able to add a free product by coupon. I created the coupon with topic and free product which is supposed to be applied by adding the coupon (no auto-coupon) for any product – so basically default settings with no restrictions.
When I go to the shop page, I pick a variable product (all products are variable), I go to cart, apply coupon, cart refresh and show “your cart is empy – go back to the shop”.

I have also tried the scenario with only selected products to which can be the coupon applied, also that the customer have to pick the free gift (lets image the free gift is variable product – so the customer can pick the size/color of the free t-shirt in this case) and the results are same – after adding the free product, choosing the variable of the product (size/color), the cart gets updated and show “empty cart – go back to the shop”

Hi,

This looks like a catch 22. Unfortunately a coupon can’t be applied on an empty cart. Can you test if the coupon works as expected when the cart contains at least 1 item?

I see.

I tested a bit, when a product is in the cart and we go back to the shop and add another product to the cart, the first item is removed from the cart. This even happens without the coupon applied. Can you please temporarily disable our plugin to see if the problem persists?

That’s our shop set up, that you can get only one product to the cart (by clicking on the button).
But this set up shouldn’t be in a conflict with a adding product by coupon.
Same thing happens even when there is an auto-coupon option checked – in this case Im not even able to get to the cart it just gives me message “empty cart”.

I can provide you with login data somehow so you can have a look around.
